Unit 10-Final Thought

Hello Class and Professor:

I would say that my grammar and use of APA format has improved tremendously in the past 10 weeks. Not only have I learned how to cite references, but I have learned how to reword sentences as well.

My final thought, Study as hard as you can and make sure to read each chapter, and all of the readings for each unit. By doing so, you will improve your writing skills dramatically.

I enjoyed this class.

How I feel after completing my final paper!

Unit 9 Blog
After working on my final paper for the last 4 weeks, I am exhausted. I feel accomplished to have had found so much information regarding adolescent depression, but at the same time I am extremely tired of all of the research.

I am very nervous to see what my final grade will be. I have had high expectations for myself since I started with Kaplan, and I have had nothing less than a B+ in one class and the rest were A's. So I am hoping that I get a good grade on the final project in order to keep my A in this class.

I have enjoyed this class, but it definitely had a lot of research and patience involved in it. The professor was great, so no complaints there.

Hopefully I will be able to take what I learned in this class to future courses.

Unit 8 Blog

I feel that the experience of this class has really improved my writing skills. Although I have been having to use office org rather than microsoft word, I have still been able to understand how to use citations, commas, proper sentences, etc.

As far as feedback on my blog, I only had responses in the first blog. So I was a bit bummed out about that. I hope people are actually reading these, and were not just writing a type of journal to ourselves.

I am not sure if I will continue to blog on here after this course is over. Maybe to keep in contact with other students I will, but as far as writing down thoughts, I am not sure.

Thanks

Peer Reviews

I think that using peers to review rough drafts is a great idea. It gives others oppertunities to see how others are writing papers, setting them up, and organizing them. It also allows the writer to get positive and negative feedback from both the instructor/professor, as well as other peers/students.
From past experience, I have always enjoyed other peers reviewing my reports. They always seem to be helpful even if you dont agree with suggestions that may be made. Also, peers tend to be honest good or bad, on ideas to improve your paper. So I personally have enjoyed peer reviewing.

My life this last 6 weeks

I have been dealing with all kinds of stress this last 6 weeks. I have been busy with school work 24/7, my kids have been crazy, and I have been sick off and on. I haven't been able to make one single seminar yet for this class due to all of these things, so doing the option 2 has put even more work on my plate.

I know that school is going good for me as far as my grades go, but I can't wait to get my Bachelors in Health Sciences next May. So that is the one good thing I have to look forward to. ONLY ONE MORE YEAR to go. Thanks for listening all.

What school has done for me

School has made a dramatic change in my life. I now realize that I can provide for my four children, myself and my husband. As I have previously stated, I work as a Certified Nurses Aide, but I stopped doing so to work on my Bachelors in Health Sciences and than on to Nursing school. So far, it has been a stress to try and keep myself at A's or high B's in the courses, but it is worth every minute. Without school, I wouldn't have things to be proud of myself for. I know that sounds rediciulous, but it is true.
Being in school has given me a reason to move forward in my life. It has helped my depression and anxiety in the fact that I am progressing and doing well. I love all my instructors and classmates. It is a great experience for me thus far.

Thanks

Importance Of Plagiarism

In my personal opinion, plagiarism is a very important fact to know about. For example; When someone copies another persons report, and takes full credit for it, that is plagiarism. Taking credit for someone elses work, is my personal definition.

To me it is very important that people do not commit the crime of plagiarism. How will a person learn about stuff, if they are just copying another persons homework for a good grade?

I know there are people out there looking for an easy way out, but remember if you want to succeed in life you have to learn about it yourself.
